Ahoy Matey.
This new layout is my first step towards regaining some of the visitors I lost over the past year. A new layout obviously isn't going to bring thousands of people to my site, but it's working as a sort of "fresh start" in my mind. I'm going to be working on remodeling some of the pages and adding fancy new thingamajigs. The one thing I will not be doing is switching to Wordpress. While I know it's the superior blogging system, I don't plan on using this blog for anything but updates once I get Flamora up and running. However, I do plan on using Wordpress for Flamora. Maybe once I start using it there I'll be more inclined to install it here.One of the changes I made to the site when I changed the layout was with my affiliates. In the past I thought I was being fair by accepting anyone and squeezing every site onto my sidebar, but apparently some people thought otherwise. I've been getting a lot of emails and complaints from sites who weren't happy that their link was at the end of the list. I decided it was time to tighten up my rules a little bit (even though it kills me slightly inside). Now only the top thirty referrers are displayed on my sidebar, and you have to send at least one hit to my site a day in order to stay on the list at all.
Another minor change was with my advertising. For all of June, I lowered the price from $4 to $2.50 a month. It's not that big of a drop, but at least it's cheaper than it used to be. I may even keep the price after June if all goes well.
As far as updates are concerned, I made nine Harry Potter icons. Here are a few of my favorites:
My summer has started, so expect a lot more changes and updates. This is my unofficial list of summer goals for the site.
-Open Flamora.
-Add 2.0 codes for all divs.
-Change the site Myspace's layout.
-Add more content to the resource section.
-Make more link buttons.
-Update layout codes.
I'll probably be adding more as the summer rolls on. ;D
